The Director is responsible for the daily operations of the program; overseeing the social, academic, emotional, health and spiritual development of the young students.
Responsibilities include:
With the support of staff, ensure a safe and educational environment to nurture and develop faith for all children in accordance with the practices of the LCMS.
Possess leadership skills to create and support relationships with students, parents and teachers.
Keeping parents informed of progress and the special needs of their children Point of contact for regulatory agencies to provide documentation and maintain compliance with the State of Texas licensing bodies.
Equip and maintain indoor and outdoor areas of the facility.
Includes making regular checks, arranging repairs and maintenance of the facility.
Manage school programs and curriculum to reflect a Christian environment while meeting the social, emotional, educational, health and spiritual needs of the children attending the ECC Responsible for hiring and supervising staff while providing a program for professional growth.
Including new staff orientation, in-service training, regularly scheduled staff meetings Plan for the admissions of new students; providing promotional and enrollment materials, interviews with parents and planning orientations.
Provide communication with the community and parents via social media and newsletters.
Operate within budget, maintain financial records, collect fees and tuition and handle petty cash?.
Requirements and
Qualifications:
Associate/Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child development or related field.
Continued education or on the job training equivalent will be considered.
Must be, or have the credentials to become State of Texas Director certified.
Experience managing faculty, curriculum and lesson planning Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Christian faith pertaining to teaching faith based curriculum.
Must be CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to do so.
Must be well organized.
